For the exhibition, diorama artist Ben De Praetere (Dioramaben PM) created unique, fully bespoke Playmobil scenes especially for Blankenberge. They depict scenes from everyday life during the Belle Époque: elegant ladies on the seafront promenade, bustling streets in the town and atmospheric holiday scenes by the sea.
Spread across the various floors of the Belle Epoque Centre, visitors can discover a variety of scenes in which the mascots Belle and Hendrik also play a leading role. The miniature world is full of small details and recognisable elements from historic Blankenberge.
